For years I've felt that coaches who we send our children to for riding lessons should be certified and demonstrate professionalism.
Certified coaches must maintain professional development and a 1st Aid Certification and Coaching Insurance.
These are important for the safety of everyone on the facility and support the sensible progression through the levels of the equestrian sport.
I've been a certified and insured coach for over 30 years. Now I have the pleasure of sharing my knowledge and experience through blog posts, relevant articles in a local paper, a podcast and an online platform.

Windhurst was the first to attain "private vocational school" status. Certain courses offer a tuition tax credit for students in full and part time coaching development studies. We strive to improve the quality of equestrian coaching by delivering education and preparations for the Equestrian Canada Rider Levels.

In addition to quality education, Windhurst continues to assist horse owners to improve relationships with their equine companions through online learning, lessons, clinics and workshops. We are glad you are here to learn more about being the best equine partner you can be.

Our Philosophy
We strive to educate horse entheusiasts while respecting the values, rights and beliefs of all who interact with Windhurst and it's associates. We feel that people and equines deserve to be treated with respect and understanding and we desire to see both acheive their full potential.
Our History
Established in 1991, Windhurst began as one woman's dream to have her horse at home and to give riding lessons in an outdoor pen. Brenda's dreams were big and she built the existing facilty in 1996. It now has 2 stables, multiple corrals, an indoor arena with a viewing room and wooded trails.
Our World View
We believe there is One God who is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. We believe that Jesus is the the Lord of all creation and His sacrifice on the cross made a way for all who will believe in Him to live an eternal life with Him. We believe that the Bible is God inspired and prophetic truth and is the primary instruction to live the best life here on earth.
